What else on the web is interesting?

Here are a few sites that may be of general interest to EFL teachers but do not specifically contain such large amounts of ready-to-use work-sheets and materials. I hope that you will find something of interest here.

  • Tefl Farm
    Describes itself as "The Language Fun Farm" - and if you like this kind of thing, it could be just what you need to cheer you up after a hard morning in the "windowless classroom". Includes reviews, interviews, articles, and a section about teaching children.

  • Yuki's EFL / ESL Bulletin Board
    Web site aimed at teachers in secondary schools around the world. Includes overviews of tefl teaching situations in over sixty different countries around the world. Also includes virtual tours of some secondary schools.

  • ELT Web
    Contains a long list of useful links to various web resources of interest to teachers.

  • Karen's Linguistic Issues
    Nicely designed site with various articles and papers of interest to teachers (or at least those of an "academic bearing")

  • ESL Magazine Online
    Online subscription magazine. Contains articles of interest to teachers, jobs for teachers, links to other sites and links to back issues of the magazine

  • The Internet TESL Journal
    This site contains articles, research papers, lesson plans, classroom handouts, teaching ideas and links to other sites.

  • The English Job Maze
    A very professional looking site that claims to help match teachers up with good TEFL jobs in 128 different countries. The site contains tons of useful info about various countries, up-to-date job ads and a simple form where you can enter your CV details.

  • Windsor Schools
    Site promoting TEFL teacher training for the Trinity TESOL certificate in Windsor (England) and Madrid. Site includes a description of the course style and lists prices, dates and availability of forthcoming courses.

  • Windsor Institute
    Site promoting TEFL teacher training courses for the Trinity TESOL certificate in Barcelona, Madrid and Prague. Site also gives details of Spanish classes in Barcelona and details (in Spanish) of English courses for company groups.

  • Windsor Languages
    Promotional site for the Academy of Windsor Languages which offers English and foreign language programmes for businesses. Courses are available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Czech, Portuguese, Chinese and Japanese. Schools are located in London, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire in the UK.
