Where on the web can my students go?
I've listed a few sites here that offer activities, information or services, which could be helpful to your students. But don't take my word
for it. Please visit the sites yourself and give them your own in-depth evaluation before recommending them.

- Activities For ESL Students
A very well organized site with over 1000 activites to help you study English as a Foreign Language.
The site includes easy / medium / difficult vocabulary sections, grammar, quizzes and a bilingual section which
is available in about twenty different languages.
- Dave's ESL Cafe Students' E-mail Connection Page
Contains a list of over 1000 English students worldwide. Each entry includes a short message and an e-mail
address Follow the link shown above, then click on the "View List Button". It is also possible for students to place their
own address on the register.

Contains a large range of exercises provided by English International Lyon - also included are some pages in French
- Language Project.co.uk
Site belonging to The Language Project, a small friendly school in Bristol, UK. This site has a section with
interactive grammar and vocabulary questions. The site also includes details of all-year-round residential
courses, which come highly recommended.
- Linguarama - Language Training For Business English
The "Postscript" website includes sections containing interactive exercises in vocabulary, grammar,
reading, polite English and some crosswords.
- Interesting Things for ESL Students
An amazing site with a large number of sophisticated computer-based exercises using
"Flash" "Javascript" and CGI and Java.
- ESL Focus - Student Resource Center
Includes information about choosing the best school and a USA Visa Section.
- Go UK.com
Web site aimed at English students with an interest in visiting Britain. Includes guides to areas, courses,
exams, UK life, ELT school guide, UK tourist guide with photos and more besides.
- Free TOEFL.com
Offers free TOEFL practice resources. Includes practice tests, test tips, free software.
- Randall's ESL Cyber Listening Lab
Site with huge selection of listening extracts and accompanying interactive questions. Requires "Real Player" to operate.
Works pretty effectively on a slow 28kbps modem. Uses American pronunciation.
- eViews
Site offering listening exercises for advanced English students. Payment is by a monthly subscription (10 Euros for students and 12 Euros for teachers).
Exercises include a glossary and lesson plan for teachers along with the audio recording in an MP3 format. Audio quality is good but downloads
may take ten minutes or more if you have a dial-up modem. A free example is offered on the site.

- Isabel's ESL Site
Features grammar, vocabulary and culture quizzes for students. For quizzes, click the top-left link on the home page.
- English As A Second Language - by Rong-Chang Li
Described as "A starting point for learning English as a second language through the web". Includes
proverbs, links to populear ESL sites and more besides
- Windsor English
Site promoting Windsor English School which offers English classes and language training for Cambridge exams very near to the famous Windsor Castle.
Includes details of courses, prices, timetable and transport arrangements. Also gives dates of forthcoming Cambridge exams.
- Windsor Languages
Promotional site for the Academy of Windsor Languages which offers English and foreign language programmes for businesses.
Courses are available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Czech, Portuguese, Chinese and Japanese.
Schools are located in London, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire in the UK.
